The Chequered Flag Room

Our largest event space, The Chequered Flag Room, boasts stylish Edwardian decor with it's own private balcony overlooking the Paddock.

This room, once used, in times gone by, to entertain the first racing drivers and their guests and is the perfect setting for any private event.

Did You Know?...

The green-domed Clubhouse was built in 1907 and the first racing drivers and their guests were entertained in the Chequered Flag Room. A bar and dining room were also used exclusively for Brooklands Automobile Racing Club (BARC) members and their guests.

The Bluebird Room

Description:
Surround yourself in the history of the room which once was used by Sir Malcolm Campbell to create the plans for his world famous Bluebird racing car.

The Bluebird Room, which is elegantly decorated with Sir Malcolm Campbell memorabilia, has great views overlooking the Motoring Village and is the perfect venue for dinners, lunches and receptions.

Did You Know?...

Sir Malcom Campbell, World Land Speed Record holder, created the plans for his world famous 'Blue Bird' racing car in this very room. He built his first shed at Brooklands in 1926 where his successful world record-breaking cars were often kept, displayed and even built.

Did You Know?...

Although anybody was allowed to join the Brooklands Automobile Racing Club (BARC), few enthusiasts could afford to and, with its slogan "The Right Crowd and No Crowding" the club only admitted those wearing their members' or members' guest badges.

Ford Room

Description:
Housing the original boardroom table and chairs from the Ford Motor Company, the Ford Room is perfect for meetings of up to 12 people. It has its own terrace balcony overlooking the motoring village.

Did You Know?...

In 1947 the Clubhouse was occupied by Barnes Wallis as part of the Vickers-Armstrongs Research and Development Department. Many alterations were made and today's Ford Room still holds the original boardroom table and chairs from the Ford Motor Company.
